1. Information We Collect

Prayer Times collects no personal information. The app does not require an account, login, or registration of any kind.

The only data the app accesses:

• Device location (optional) — used solely to calculate accurate prayer times for your current city. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
• App preferences — your chosen city, calculation method, language, and notification settings are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. We never access or upload this data.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Prayer Times displays ads served by Google AdMob to support free access to the app. AdMob may use device identifiers (Advertising ID) to show relevant ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• Or reset your Advertising ID in the same menu.

Google's privacy policy applies to data collected by AdMob: policies.google.com/privacy

3. Permissions Explained

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — optional; used only to detect your city for prayer time calculation. You can instead choose a city manually.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — required to deliver adhan notifications at prayer times.
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — required to fire notifications at the precise prayer time.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — reschedules notifications after device restart.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties, except as described under Section 2 (AdMob advertising).

5. Children's Privacy

Prayer Times does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. The app contains no features directed at children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
